ZooVentures Calgary
ZooVentures Calgary is personal project inspired by the love me and my partner have towards animals and conservation. We started an Instagram page to share pictures from our many visits to the Calgary Zoo along with fun facts we learned from volunteers. My partner is the main photographer and I handle all the branding, text, and posting.
Logo
ZooVentures Calgary is a full typographic logo designed to capture the fun and dynamic nature of big cats and animals in general. To express this feeling I extended the “Z“ to become a flowing snow leopard tail (The largest tail of all big cats!).
The tail also gives the logo a dynamic element, which naturally works as an icon. For the light background variation, the logo is coloured yellow like a jaguar tail. This honors the amazing big cat species from my homeland, Brazil.

Social Media
The social media layout is made with a simple protective frame with flexible colour palette that adapts to the picture. There is also a playful snow leopard silhouette jumping in the corner of the frame. It was inspired by our many pictures of Leika playing at The Calgary Zoo.
